Brahmas Drop Second Straight in Laredo
February 3, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
LAREDO, Texas - Laredo's early shorthanded goal was the difference in the game on Saturday night as the Brahmas fell to the Bucks 1-0.
Brahmas starting goaltender Adam Avramenko was pulled just 1:43 into the first period after giving up a shorthanded goal in the early-goings for the second straight night. Rusty Masters scored the goal for the Bucks. Mark Guggenberger entered the game in place of Avramenko and picked up right where he left off before his injury, stopping all 24 shots he faced. For Guggenberger, it was his first action since January 14 when he left the game at Rio Grande Valley.
Torrie Jung was impressive between the posts for the Bucks again, stopping all 27 shots fired on net by the Brahmas to record his second consecutive shutout against Texas.
The Brahmas wrap up the road trip against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Saturday. Texas returns to North Richland Hills on Friday, February 10 when they take on the crosstown rival Allen Americans at 7:30pm from the NYTEX Sports Centre.
