
Bucks Shut-Out Brahmas Again

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, defeated the Texas Brahmas 1-0.
The Laredo Bucks faced the Texas Brahmas for the ninth time this season, second straight time this week. The two teams met Wednesday, where the Bucks shut-out the Brahmas 6-0.
The Laredo Bucks would score the first goal and only goal of the night at 1:43 into the first period of play. Rusty Masters had a shorthanded break away, with an assist from Adam Rivet, to give the Bucks a 1-0 lead. The rest of the period was spent in transition. The Brahmas outshot the Bucks 6-5 in the frame.
The second period of play was a physical one. Justin Styffe dropped the gloves with Tyler Barr at the 7:05 in the period. Overall, in the period there were 18 minutes of penalties. Torrie Jung continued his perfect play by turning away all 12 Brahma shots in the second.
The Brahmas would try and even the game in the third period, but Torrie Jung shut the door on every attempt. The Bucks held onto the one goal lead and Torrie Jung earned his second straight shut-out, and his third shut out in 8 days.
