Missouri has never lost to the Brahmas in the team's two-year history. The Mavs and Brahmas have played one game in Texas in each of the Mavericks' first two years. Missouri has outscored Texas 8-3 in the two games. This season the two teams will play three times including the first time at Independence Events Center on New Year's Eve. Texas is currently 2-4-0 on the season and tied for sixth place in the Berry Conference with the Laredo Bucks.

The Oilers and Mavs meet this Friday night in the first of nine games this season between the teams. Missouri leads the all-time series going 11-4-3 against the Oilers. The Mavericks are 5-3-1 all-time at Independence Events Center against Tulsa. The Oilers are currently in second place in the Berry Conference behind the Wichita Thunder with a 4-3-0 record and eight points.
Saturday, November 12 - Mavericks vs. Wichita Thunder, 7:05 p.m. CST - Home Opener

Missouri and Wichita continue their rivalry on Saturday night at the IEC. The teams split a pair of games this past weekend, but the Mavericks earned an extra point in a shootout loss on Saturday night. Wichita is currently in first place in the Berry Conference with a 5-1-0 record and four of their wins have come in shootouts. The Mavericks continue to lead the Turner Conference with a 6-0-1 record and it is another battle of the top two teams in their respective conferences. After Saturday's game, the teams will meet again on November 23 in Wichita. After going 10-0-0 against the Thunder in their inaugural season, the Mavericks finished 4-5-2 against Wichita last season as the rivalry heated up. Missouri defeated Wichita in the opening round of the playoffs 3-2 in a best-of-five series.

Notes
On the road again - The Mavericks head to the road again Tuesday when they take on the Texas Brahmas at NYTEX Sports Centre. Missouri has played six of seven games on the road and the Mavericks are 6-0-0 away from Independence Events Center.
Unbeaten in regulation - The Mavs are one of two teams in the CHL to not have a loss in regulation. Only Missouri and Evansville are unbeaten in regulation, but the Mavericks (6-0-1) have played three more games than the IceMen (3-0-1).
Scoring leader - First-year Maverick Sebastien Thinel leads the CHL in scoring with 14 points on four goals and 10 assists. Thinel has nine points in his last three games where he scored three points in each of those games. He is no stranger to leading the CHL in scoring as he was awarded the Joe Burton Award (scoring champion) last season when he recorded 110 points (35-75110) in 66 games with Odessa. Thinel is climbing the league's all-time lists passing Paul Jackson for eighth in scoring (661 points) and passing Jeff Bes for 12th all-time in assists (422).
Streaking to start - Forward Dale Mahovsky failed to score in the Mavs' home opener marking the first time this season he has failed to record a point in a game. Mahovsky has nine points (4-59) in the Mavs' first seven games.
Franchise record - The Mavericks broke a franchise record Friday night with their sixth straight win. All six wins came on the road which is also a franchise record for consecutive road wins.
Six wins - Missouri started this season 6-0-0. The Mavericks took a considerably longer time getting to six wins in each of their first two seasons. In their inaugural season, Missouri took 15 games to get to their sixth win of the season (6-8-1). Last season, it took 12 games to get their sixth win of the season when they went 6-4-1.
Monthly honorees - Mavericks' goaltender Charlie Effinger was named the CHL Goalie of the Month for October. Effinger went 4-0-0 in October and allowed just six goals. He had a 1.50 goals-against average (GAA) and .961 save percentage in October. Mavericks' forward Kris Hogg was named the CHL's Rookie of the Month after he posted five points in five games on two goals and three assists. Hogg also had a +6 rating which was tied for the best rating in the CHL.
The Mavericks return home for a pair of games this weekend when they host Tulsa on Friday, Nov. 11 and Wichita on Saturday, Nov. 12.
