LAST WEEKS GAMES
Friday, November 4 @ Quad City Mallards - 5-4 Win
After facing an early three goal deficit, the Dayton Gems used their high power offense and special team excellence to bounce back with a thrilling 5-4 win on the road against division rival Quad City Mallards on Friday night. Leading the charge was Gems forward Nick Fanto's two back to back powerplay goals in the second period that lit the spark of special teams excellence with two more powerplay goals to take the lead. Both teams would swap goals in the closing minutes of regulation, doing little more than making for a thrilling conclusion to the Gems first win of the season in just their fourth game. Saturday, November 5 vs Quad City Mallards - 2-1 Win Hot off their first win of the season against the Mallards Friday night inside the iWireless Center in Moline, Illinois, the Dayton Gems extended their winning streak to two games with a scrappy 2-1 win while sporting the popular "retro" throwback Gems jerseys in front of 3,611 fans inside a rocking Hara Arena on Saturday night.
