Skid stopped - The Mavericks stopped their five-game winless streak Saturday night with a 2-1 win over the Quad City Mallards. One opponent - Missouri will play three games this week, all against the Dayton Gems. Missouri will travel to Dayton for Thursday night's game before coming home to face the Gems in the only two games of the season between the teams at Independence Events Center. Missouri and Dayton will meet just one more time this season after this weekend's games, a February 24 matchup in Dayton.
League leader - Forward Sebastien Thinel continues to lead the CHL in scoring with 24 points (6-1824) in 15 games. Thinel most recently passed Hardy Sauter for seventh place on the league's all-time scoring list. The first-year Maverick has 671 points (241-430671) in 517 games in the CHL.
Closing in on 300 - Mavericks' forward Ryan Jardine is just three points away from 300 career professional points.
