Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - After winning three out of four last week, the Arizona Sundogs begin a five-game road trip this week starting in Laredo before moving on to Rio Grande Valley Friday and Saturday.

Tuesday at Tulsa, 7-6 (SO) Win
Shawn Morton-Boutin's first career goal was credited as the game-winner after closing out a nine-round shootout to propel the Sundogs over the Oilers. Luke Erickson scored two goals for Arizona for 98 in his career. Kyle Hood and JP Chabot also scored.
Wednesday at Texas, 4-3 (OT) Win
Jeff Hazelwood tallied a hat trick, including the overtime-winner, against his former team to give the Sundogs consecutive wins for the first time this season. Tyler Butler was the other Sundog goal scorer on the power play. Levente Szuper stopped 30 shots in the win.
Friday vs. Rio Grande Valley, 6-4 Win
A four-goal second period for the Sundogs turned a tie hockey game into a 5-2 lead. Tyler Matheson scored the first two goals of his career. JP Chabot added his team-leading eighth goal of the season as the Sundogs earned their third straight win.
Saturday vs. Rio Grande Valley, 2-0 Loss
John Murray tallied 37 saves for the Bees as Arizona was shutout for the first time since March 11th of last season (Colorado Eagles, 2-0 loss). Aaron Lee and Jake Hauswirth each scored for the Bees. The game featured a second period line brawl between players that resulted in 39 total penalty minutes handed out.

Luke Erickson set a new team-high when his eight-game point streak came to an end last week. Kyle Hood's five-game point streak ended in Arizona's shutout loss on Saturday. Wednesday's game at Laredo is the first meeting between the two teams since Daymen Rycroft was injured against the Bucks back on November 9th - Rycroft has not appeared in a game since. Last week the Sundogs finished a stretch where they played the Texas Brahmas four times in five games. Arizona is currently in a span where they meet Rio Grande Valley four times in five games. Kyle Hood is currently tied for 4th in the league with 22 points this season. JP Chabot's eight goals are tied for 9th in the league.
