Matulia, Reid Promoted Back to Triple-A

MONTGOMERY, AL - The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that OF John Matulia and RHP Ryan Reid have been promoted to AAA Durham. RHP Paul Phillips has been activated off the Biscuits DL to take Reid's place, with no corresponding move to the Matulia promotion.

Both Matulia and Reid have spent time in Durham this season. Matulia went 0-9 in a two-game stint last weekend, while Reid made 19 appearances out of the Durham pen in May and June.

Phillips had been placed on the DL on July 4th. In 23 games with the Biscuits, he had a 3.89 ERA.
