ATL UTD 2 returns home to face Loudoun United in the second meeting between the two clubs. Atlanta fell to Loudoun 2-1 at Audi Field June 28. Despite the result, Guillermo Benitez scored his first goal for ATL UTD 2.
Atlanta was defeated 4-2 in its most recent outing at North Carolina FC last Saturday, July 27. After falling behind 3-0, ATL UTD 2 fought back with goals from Will Vint and Bienvenue Kanakimana to cut the deficit to one. North Carolina was able to add one more goal before halftime while neither side found the back of the net in the second half.
Loudoun beat Louisville City 3-0 on Sunday, July 28 at Audi Field. Antonio Bustamante scored in the 22nd minute while Louisville's Alexis Souahy picked up a red card in the 30th minute. Elvis Amoh and Moses Nyeman each scored off the bench late in the match to give Loudoun its fifth victory of the season.
