Maschmeyer traded to Blazers

Kamloops, BC * Kamloops Blazers General Manager Craig Bonner, announced today that the club has acquired 18 year old defenseman Bronson Maschmeyer from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for Kamloops' third round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

"We are in need of a puck moving defenseman in the 1991 age group. We believe that Bronson will come in and be a contributor for the hockey club. It is always a benefit to bring in a quality person from a quality organization."

With the addition of Maschmeyer, the Blazers roster now sits at 31 players (two goalies, 11 defenseman, 18 forwards).
