Marvin, Motherwell Return from AHL

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that C Aaron Marvin returned from the Milwaukee Admirals and D Brett Motherwell returned from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons.

Marvin made his first game in the AHL this season count, scoring the game's first goal 5:49 into the contest against Rockford on Sunday. It was Marvin's first goal in the AHL. Marvin appeared in two games with Milwaukee, scoring one goal. The 6-2, 205 pound center has played 32 games with Chicago this season, and is second among Chicago rookie forwards with eight goals, 13 assists, and 21 points. The Warroad, MN, native began his professional career last season, playing three games with the Abbotsford Heat.

Mothewell has also returned to Chicago, following two appearances with the Springfield Falcons last week. The St. Charles, IL, native recorded an assist and two penalty minutes with the Falcons. Motherwell spent all of last season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL, earning 18 points (4g, 14a) in 60 games. He has played 14 games with Chicago this season, picking up four assists.

The Express battle the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Sears Centre Arena tonight, Saturday, January 28, and Sunday, January 29.
