Central Valley Coyotes News Release

Editor's Note: The Coyotes were assigned offensive specialist Marvin Brown for the 2004 Training Camp. Brown will compete during training camp to solidify a roster spot.

Brown will log a rookie training camp diary throughout Training Camp 2004 for Centralvalleycoyotes.com.

I would give today's performance probably a B-, C+ grade. It was just another day to get mentally and physically better and see how you would react too having the morning off. I think the coaches we're really looking at how we came back after the break and how serious we are about this game.

There was a couple of cuts made today and that just brings you back too reality on how important it is too come and work hard each day at practice. All you can do is punch in your time card and give it all you got on the field.

In the 3-on-3 drills I had a couple of touchdown catches which gave me a little more confidence. I have really been working on my moves and timing which is starting to pay off in practice. I've been working on getting off the ball quickly and beating the defensive back, which gives the quarterback space to throw the ball.

I think having a strong secondary helps myself and the other receivers out a lot. I like the defensive backs that are out here, they make us work hard everyday, which makes us have to work even harder. You just have too been on top of your game.

It's exciting that the first home game is only two weeks away, but at the same time you have to keep everything in perspective. I have to make this team first before I can start worrying about Hawaii, but that's why you work hard everyday.

Marvin Brown's training camp diary can be found each day of training camp on centralvalleycoyotes.com
