Central Valley Coyotes News Release

Editor's Note: The Coyotes were assigned offensive specialist Marvin Brown for the 2004 Training Camp. Brown will compete during training camp to solidify a roster spot.

Brown will log a rookie training camp diary throughout Training Camp 2004 for Centralvalleycoyotes.com.

Tuesday's morning practice didn't quite go how I planned it. I had too many dropped balls in the morning session, but then I picked it back up in the night session. It was just a little inconsistency that I had today. I'm trying to stay focused and get the speed of the arena game down so I can do everything right and execute the play.

My body feels a little banged up today after our second day of two-a-days. I also got my first turf burn, and let me tell you, for anyone who hasn't played arena football this turf does not feel good, but it's part of the game.

I'm excited to get into pads tomorrow, but I wish we had a few more days to get more of the fundamentals down. I just have to go out there each day and practice hard.

During one-on-one and three-on-three drills, I felt I did terrible today, but I'm always hard on myself and there's always room for improvement. I just need to be consistent. I know it will come to me as training camp progresses.

The receiving corps is really a tight knot group and always helping each other out. We're trying to keep practice up-tempo and make plays on the field. Everyday the goes by is valuable time.

Marvin Brown's training camp diary can be found each day of training camp on centralvalleycoyotes.com
