Central Valley Coyotes News Release

Editor's Note: The Coyotes were assigned offensive specialist Marvin Brown for the 2004 Training Camp. Brown will compete during training camp to solidify a roster spot.

Brown will log a rookie training camp diary throughout Training Camp 2004 for Centralvalleycoyotes.com.

I feel at practice today I was mentally and physically strong. My timing and speed are starting to come together and it was an overall better performance then yesterday.

It was natural to get into pads today, I love too hit and I can't wait until we have a scrimmage pretty soon. Right now I'm trying to save my body, I practice hard but after practice, I'm stretching and icing down to get my body prepared for the next day.

Tomorrow we have the morning session off which is good for me so I can relax my legs. I'm going too therapy in the morning which will help strengthen my legs for the long season. I think having the rest of the night and the morning off is a test to see what are you going to do tonight, and how are you going to conduct yourself as a professional. It boils down too how strong are you mentally?

Offensively I felt I ran my routes and caught the ball a lot better today. My night session was a little crisper today, and we had a chance to move the ball down field and get a little game type situations going on. I made a few catches, and on one play I caught the ball, but was brought down on the one yard line. I should have taken it in the endzone, but hey, at least it was practice and not an actual game.

Marvin Brown's training camp diary can be found each day of training camp on centralvalleycoyotes.com
