Marrero, Romero Homers Power Portland to 6-3 Win

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania- The Portland Sea Dogs (35-19, 71-52) take second straight with 6-3 win over the Harrisburg Senators (22-33, 60-64) on Friday night.
Mikey Romero roped his second homer of the series while Elih Marrero launched his fourth of the season in a three-hit night. Tyler McDonough went 3-4 with an RBI.
Harrisburg scored two runs early after an RBI single from Yohandy Morales in the first along with an RBI single from Israel Pineda in the bottom of the second.
A solo blast to right field from Marrero in the top of the third inning cut the Harrisburg lead in half. In the top of the fourth inning, Portland scored two more runs on RBI singles from Tyler McDonough and Corey Rosier to take a 3-2 lead.
In the top of the fifth inning, Romero launched a homer to right field to mark his second of the series and double a 4-2 lead.
Jeremy De La Rosa homered in the bottom of the sixth to chip in but Portland went on to score two more runs on three doubles in the top of the eighth to once again double the lead and complete the scoring, 3-2
RHP Robert Kwiatkowski (11-2, 3.26 ERA) earned the win after pitching 3.0 shutout innings allowing one hit while walking one and striking out four. Bryce Bonnin (1) earned the hold with 2.1 innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out one. Reidis Sena (1) earned the save pitching 1.2 shutout innings allowing one hit while striking out two. He did not issue a walk. RHP Kyle Luckham (3-8, 4.31ERA) was issued the loss after pitching 6.0 innings allowing four runs on six hits while walking two and striking out six.
The Sea Dogs return to FNB Field for game five of a six-game series with the Harrisburg Senators tomorrow, August 31st, 2024. Game five is slated for 6:00pm. Portland will send LHP Connelly Early (1-1, 4.84 ERA) to the mound while Harrisburg will start LHP Dustin Saenx (0-3, 13.50 ERA).
