Marlies Will Announce New Captain Friday at Ricoh Coliseum

The Toronto Marlies will announce their new captain on Friday morning after the team's 10 a.m. practice at Ricoh Coliseum. Four players have previously served as captain of the Marlies - Marc Moro (05-07), Ben Ondrus (07-10), Alex Foster (10-11) and Ryan Hamilton (11-13).
The Marlies will open their ninth American Hockey League season on Saturday, October 5 when they host the defending Calder Cup Champion Grand Rapids Griffins, AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
