
Barons Submit Opening Night Roster; Home Opener Tomorrow Night

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons submitted their roster in advance of their season opener tomorrow night against the Charlotte Checkers. A total of 27 players are on the opening night roster, including nine players that played on the Barons squad that advanced to the Western Conference Finals last season.
Goaltenders: Richard Bachman, Olivier Roy
Defensemen: Brandon Davidson, David Musil, Oscar Klefbom, Martin Marincin, Joey Leach, Taylor Fedun, Brad Hunt, Philip Larsen, Martin Gernat
Forwards: Ben Eager, Travis Ewanyk, Matt Ford, Austin Fyten, Ryan Hamilton, Ryan Jones, Kale Kessy,Anton Lander, Erick Lizon, Ryan Martindale, Andrew Miller, Derek Nesbitt, Linus Omark, Tyler Pitlick, C.J. Stretch, Nicholas Tremblay
Head coach Todd Nelson and his assistant coaches Gerry Fleming and Rocky Thompson begin their fourth seasons behind the bench for the Barons. The staff has guided the Barons to three consecutive 40-win seasons and three straight appearances in the Calder Cup playoffs.
Faceoff for both games against Charlotte this weekend is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Friday night is Barons night with $2 draft beer and $1 hot dogs from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, one lucky fan drives away in a brand new Dodge Ram 1500 truck in the Drive Away Every Saturday promotion.
