Marlies Travel to Steel City to Take on Bulldogs on Friday Night

Nazem Kadri was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for November last week. Kadri is currently riding an eight-game point streak, during which he's notched 14 points (six goals, eight assists). The Marlies next game is on Friday night against the Bulldogs in Hamilton.

What You Need To Know About The Toronto Marlies...

- The Marlies are currently first in the North Division with a record of 13-7-3-1 for 30 points. Toronto had their six game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night against Grand Rapids, but still are 7-2-1-0 over their last 10 contests.

- Nazem Kadri was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for November. He is currently on an eight-game point streak and ranks tied for first on the Marlies in points with 21. Kadri's point streak is the second longest active streak in the AHL.

The Marlies went 1-2-1-0 in their four games last week.

Toronto opened their week last Tuesday night with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins at Ricoh Coliseum. Nazem Kadri scored twice, and Kelsey Wilson notched his first multi-point game of the season with two helpers. On Friday night in Grand Rapids, the Marlies dropped their second straight game to the Griffins, 6-3. Toronto scored the game's opening two goals, but then the Griffins responded by out- scoring the Marlies 5-1 over the final two periods. Toronto shutout the Houston Aeros, 4-0 on Saturday afternoon. Mark Owuya made 20 saves for his first career AHL shutout and Greg Scott notched four points in the win.

On Sunday, the Marlies lost a 4-2 decision to the St. John's IceCaps. Marco Rosa led the way for St. John's, tallying three points (one goal, two assists).

UPCOMING OPPONENTS

The Marlies travel down the QEW to take on their division rivals, the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday night. It will be the first of 12 meetings between the two clubs. The Bulldogs currently rank fifth in the North Division with a 7-12-1-1 record for 16 points and have only posted two wins over their last 10 games.

Brian Willsie paces the Bulldogs with 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) on the season. The Marlies went 4-4-1-1 in 10 meetings last season against Hamilton.

Toronto hosts the Albany Devils on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. It will be the Marlies final home game between now and Christmas. The Marlies defeated the Devils 4-3 on November 13.

Nazem Kadri scored the overtime winning goal in the game and Ryan Hamilton scored twice.

Saturday's contest is the Marlies annual Teddy Bear Toss game.

Reading Report:

The Reading Royals rank fourth in the Atlantic Division with a 7-11-2-2 record. The Royals have dropped eight straight games and have won once over their past 10. Mark Owuya was reassigned to Reading on Tuesday morning.
