Coyotes Assign Patrick O'sullivan to Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Patrick O'Sullivan to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

The 5-foot-11, 189 pound O'Sullivan has appeared in 17 games with Phoenix this season, registering 2-1-3. Last season, the 26-year-old native of Toronto ON, appeared in 31 games with Carolina and Minnesota, recording 2-6-8.

In 2010-11, O'Sullivan helped lead the Houston Aeros (AHL) to the Calder Cup Final, recording a team-high 4-14-18 in 24 playoff games. In 36 regular season games with Houston, he collected 19-29-48.

O'Sullivan was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the second round (56th overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft.
