Toronto Marlies News Release
The Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 2-1 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.
Wolves forward Dmitrij Jaskin opened the scoring at 10:11 of the first period. The Marlies would tie the game before the end of the frame on a powerplay goal from T.J. Brennan. Chris Porter notched the game winning goal on a powerplay at 10:42 of the middle period. Garret Sparks stopped 28 of 30 shots in the loss.
The Marlies return to the ice tomorrow evening when they host the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, at 5 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
