
Marlies Defeat Rochester 3-1 at Ricoh Coliseum

Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies defeated the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres, by a score of 3-1 in front of a sellout crowd at Ricoh Coliseum this morning.
After a scoreless opening frame, Kevin Porter gave Rochester a 1-0 lead on a powerplay at 57 seconds of the second period. The Marlies would respond at 2:25 when Spencer Abbott notched his 17th goal of the season. Greg McKegg tallied the eventual game winning goal at 18:37 of the middle frame. Trevor Smith added an empty net marker to secure a 3-1 victory for Toronto.
