Binghamton controlled the majority of the final period until Reid Boucher beat Binghamton goaltender Andrew Hammond for his 17th goal of the year with just over seven minutes remaining in regulation. Sislo notched his game winner with less than three minutes remaining following a turnover at the Sens blue line.

Sislo finished with a goal and an assist to lead Albany while Puempel scored his team-leading 13th power-play goal. Hammond finished with 26 saves on 28 shots faced while Albany's Scott Wedgewood earned the win with 18 saves on 19 shots faced.

Binghamton prevailed 5-2 on the road thanks to three third period goals that broke open a 2-2 game after 40 minutes of play. Shane Prince scored the go-ahead goal 2:50 into the final frame to keep Binghamton atop the East Division with their 37th win on the year. Goalie Scott Greenham earned the victory in just his second appearance in net for Binghamton this year stopping 24 of 26 shots faced.

Norfolk opened the scoring 7:02 into the first period when Chris Wagner recorded his 11th goal of the year. Max Friberg collected a loose puck in the neutral zone and sent it up ice to Kevin Gagne. Gagne found a charging Wagner on the right wing who then one-timed the puck past Greenham to give the Admirals the 1-0 lead.

Mark Borowiecki tied the game at 1-1 at the 15:16 mark of the opening frame off assists from Patrick Mullen and Derek Grant. With Binghamton holding possession in Norfolk's zone, Grant cycled the puck to the top of the right point where Mullen was waiting. Mullen skated towards the center point and dished a pass to Borowiecki who then buried his second marker of the year.

Greenham stopped 13 of 14 shots in the first 20 minutes of play while John Gibson turned aside six of seven Binghamton chances.

Devante Smith-Pelly broke the 1-1 tie 11:40 into the second period on a short-handed goal. The B-Sens grabbed its first lead of the night less than three minutes into the third on a power-play goal from Prince. Cole Schneider scored his 19th marker of the season at the 16:33 spot to extend the lead to 4-2 before Da Costa added an empty-netter with just over a minute remaining to push the final score to 5-2.
