TORONTO --- Greg Scott scored twice and dished out two assists as the Toronto Marlies shut out the Houston Aeros 4-0 Saturday at Ricoh Coliseum.

Aeros goaltender Darcy Kuemper, in his second start in less than 24 hours, made 33 saves in the losing effort.

The Marlies scored a pair of goals in the first and second periods en route to the win. Goaltender Mark Owuya made 20 saves. Marcel Mueller chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Will Acton's first period tally at 7:43 was the only goal the Marlies needed.

The Aeros dropped to 9-2-0-1 on the road and saw their eight game points streak come to an end.

Houston wraps up a five-game road swing at San Antonio on Tuesday night 7 p.m. (CST) .

BOMB DROPPINGS The Minnesota Wild recalled goaltender Matt Hackett and defenseman Nate Prosser prior to the game and reassigned forward David McIntyre to the Aeros ... The Aeros signed goaltender Wayne Cowley prior to the game to back up Darcy Kuemper. Cowley, who turns 47 on Dec. 4, last played pro during the 1999-00 season with Flint (UHL). He last played in the AHL during the 1994-95 season with the Worcester IceCats.
