Marlies and Crunch Meet Again
February 23, 2019 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release
The Marlies will be looking to rebound tonight when they square off against the Syracuse Crunch for the second time in as many nights.
The Crunch edged the visiting Marlies 1-0 in an overtime decision last night after over 60 minutes of scoreless hockey, snapping the Marlies' three-game win streak. Penalty killing was the difference maker in last night's contest as the Marlies went 0/7 on the power play and the Crunch went 0/5. Syracuse goaltender Eddie Pasquale turned away all 26 shots he faced as the Marlies were unable to find the back of the net.
With three points now separating these two North Division rivals in the division standings, the Marlies know there are an important two points on the line tonight as they continue to jockey for playoff positioning in a tight North Division.
Puck drops at 7:00 PM on AHLTV.
