
Marcantuoni Agrees to ATO with Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Matia Marcantuoni to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO).
Marcantuoni, 20, just finished his fourth season with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. The Toronto-native set a career high for goals and points in a season, recording 32 points on 15 goals and 17 assists in 54 games.
Marcantuoni was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round (92nd overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. In four seasons with Kitchener, he totaled 98 points (42g-56a) and 99 PIM over 184 matches. He has also registered a goal and an assist in 17 playoff games.
This marks Marcantuoni's second stint with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, having also joined the team on an ATO last season on April 17, 2013.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins return home on Saturday, Mar. 22 to battle the Utica Comets at 7:05pm.
