Abbotsford, BC - The Heat continue their six-game road trip tomorrow night with the second half of a pair of games against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Their trip then continues in Ontario with a game the following day in Toronto against the Marlies.
The Heat are coming off a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs Wednesday night, their tenth loss in eleven games. There are certainly positives to be taken from the game however, as Chris Breen scored his first goal of the season and Sven Baertschi extended his point streak to five games with an assist on the goal. Corban Knight also made his return to the Heat after a successful stint with the Calgary Flames.
The Heat remain in fifth place in the Western Conference, eleven points out of first, and nine points up on ninth place. They have an overall record of 34-23-5-2 and 75 points.
HEAT vs. BULLDOGS ( AHL AFFILIATE OF THE MONTREAL CANADIENS)
The Heat and Bulldogs have been very evenly matched so far this season, with Abbotsford holding the slight edge in wins with a head-to-head record of 4-3-0-0. Two of the Heat's four wins over the 'Dogs have come in the shootout and five games in the season series has been decided by two goals or less. Saturday's game marks the end of the eight-game season series between the two teams.
Hamilton currently sits tied for last place in the Western Conference, but are only ten points out of the final playoff position held currently by Rockford with fourteen games remaining on their schedule. Their overall record is 27-30-1-4 with 59 points. The Bulldogs continue to be led by Martin St. Pierre, an AHL veteran of over 500 games who has 41 points (10-32-42) on the season. Second on the team is Swiss rookie Sven Andrighetto who has 32 points (14-18-32) in 50 games. Both players earned assists in Wednesday night's victory over the Heat.

HEAT vs. MARLIES (AHL AFFILIATE OF THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS)
The Heat have won both games in the season series against the Marlies, which were played in early November at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. Goals have not been hard to come by in either game as well, as a total of 16 goals have been scored between both clubs in only 120 minutes of play. The Heat will also face Toronto one final time a week after Sunday's game to close the season series.
The Marlies currently sit third in the Western Conference with an overall record of 37-19-2-3 and 79 points. They are led by Spencer Abbott who is second in the AHL with 68 points (16-52-68) in 58 games and T.J. Brennan, who leads all AHL defenceman in scoring with 61 points (21-40-61) in 61 games.

NEWS & NOTES
The Abbotsford Heat announced on March 19th, that they have assigned defenceman John Ramage and forward Evan Trupp to the Alaska Aces of the ECHL. Ramage, a native of St. Louis, Missouri has played in 50 games with the Heat this season, and has registered one assist (0-1-1) and 46 penalty minutes. Trupp, a native of Anchorage, Alaska has played in 17 games with the Heat this season, and has registered seven points (1-6-7) and 10 penalty minutes.
The Abbotsford Heat announced on March 20th, that they have signed forward Allan McPherson. McPherson, a native of Kinburn, Ontario, played in 41 games for Clarkson University (ECAC) registering a team leading 32 points (13-19-32) and 14 penalty minutes. In his four seasons at Clarkson University, McPherson appeared in 150 games recording a total of 103 points (41-62-103) and 88 penalty minutes.
Sunday afternoon's game in Toronto will be televised live on Sportsnet360 beginning at 11:30AM PST. This is the first of three Heat games to be televised this season, with the final two coming on March 30th and April 13th.
