Bradenton, FL - The Bradenton Marauders (41-33) fell 6-2 to the Jupiter Hammerheads (35-40) on Wednesday night at McKechnie Field. Jupiter's John Norwood went 3-for-5 and homered for the second straight night to power the Hammer- heads' attack.
Jupiter starter Dillon Peters (W, 6-5) fired six scoreless innings. He surrendered two hits and a walk and struck out four while earning his sixth win of the season. James Buckelew and Esmerling De La Rosa pitched out of the bullpen for Jupiter
RHP Jose Regalado started and pitched two scoreless innings before being removed after the first pitch of the third inning. RHP Tate Scioneaux (L, 2-2) surrendered the game's first run on a wild pitch later in the third frame.
Norwood's home run off RHP Henry Hirsch put the Hammerheads ahead 4-0 in the sixth inning. Jupiter's lead reached 6-0 two innings later on Norwood's RBI-double to center.
The Marauders mounted a comeback in the eighth against Buckelew. CF Tito Polo collected an RBI-single and later scored on an error. Trailing 6-2, Bradenton loaded the bases before Buckelew struck out RF Michael Sucky to end the threat.
