CLEARWATER, Fla. - Kyle Martin went yard for the second time in the last three days, but the Clearwater Threshers were limited to just four hits in a 8-1 loss to the Dunedin Blue Jays on Camp Day at Bright House Field.

Martin drove a line shot out to right in the fourth inning, giving him ten home runs on the season. The Threshers first baseman has now reached base in nine consecutive games.

Malquin Canelo collected two hits including a double, while Scott Kingery extended his on-base streak to 11. He walked in the third and was hit by a pitch in the eighth, and notched his 21st stolen base of the season.

The Blue Jays (5-1) broke out to a four-run lead in the third inning.

Anthony Alford was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and Richard Urena followed with an RBI single through the right side. Yacksel Rios (2-2) then got Emilio Guerrero to ground into a double play, but that pushed another run home to make it 3-0. A Ryan McBroom single through the shift increased the deficit to four.

After Martin's mash got Clearwater (4-3) on the board in the fourth, the game was delayed for 14 minutes due to an injury sustained by home plate umpire JC Velez. Upon resumption, the Blue Jays managed to load the bases and Guerrero drove a deep fly to the track in left.

Derek Campbell ranged back and hauled it in as he collided with the left field wall, and held on as he hit the ground, but both Josh Almonte at third and Anthony Alford at second were able to tag up and cross the plate on what would be a two-run sacrifice fly for Guerrero.

Dunedin's final two runs came in the eighth inning, when Mike Reeves got ahold of one from reliever Will Morris and deposited a two-run homer just over the wall in right, making it 8-1 Blue Jays on his first home run of the year.

The two-game set concludes on Thursday with Taps and Tacos Night, presented by Tijuana Flats, with first pitch at 7 p.m. Luke Leftwich (1-0) will make his home debut for Clearwater opposed by Justin Shafer (0-4), and the game will be broadcast live on the Threshers Broadcast Network starting at 6:45 p.m.
