
Maple Leafs Make Roster Moves

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that defenceman Sean Gagnon has been signed to an AHL contract with the St. John's Maple Leafs. Gagnon started the season with the Utah Grizzlies and recorded six penalty minutes in seven games. In 348 AHL and IHL games Gagnon has recorded 90 points (29G,61A) and 1,701 penalty minutes. In 1996-97 Gagnon led the IHL with 457 penalty minutes in 72 games with Fort Wayne and has appeared in 12 career NHL contests and recorded one assist and 34 penalty minutes with the Phoenix Coyotes and the Ottawa Senators.
The Maple Leafs have also signed left winger Chad Woollard of the Fort Worth Brahmas (CHL) to a PTO. Woollard has 32 points (14G,18A) in 37 games this season with the Brahmas. The 6'2", 205 lb native of Hanover, ON has played the past three seasons in Fort Worth and has tallied 139 points (70G,69A) and 426 penalty minutes in 150 games.
The Maple Leafs will host the Hamilton Bulldogs tomorrow and Wednesday at Mile One Stadium. Both games will be broadcast LIVE on Radio NL (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca starting at 7:30pm (NT).
