
Mallards Host Fury and Missouri Over Holiday Weekend

Quad City Mallards News Release
Moline, IL-The Mallards host Muskegon and Missouri this week at The MARK as the team concludes its home schedule for November. Following the week's pair of home games, the Mallards are on the road until December 26th.
The holiday weekend starts on Wednesday night as the Mallards host Muskegon on "Flush the Fury" night. On Thanksgiving, the team is in Fort Wayne for a holiday showdown with the Komets. After a day off on Friday, the Mallards are back at The MARK for a game vs. Missouri. The week concludes with a Sunday afternoon game in Rockford.

A pre-holiday clash with the defending Colonial Cup Champions features a plunger giveaway courtesy of Dick N Sons Lumber on Flush the Fury Night. It's a Miller Lite Wild Weekday featuring 12 ounce Miller Lite Draft Specials. During the intermission, Casino Rock Island is hosting a $10,000 cash drop. It's also the beginning of the Mallards Toys for Tots Drive. Fans that bring in a toy get a buy one ticket get one ticket free voucher to the Mallards home games on December 26th or 29th.
Saturday, November 26th vs. the Missouri River Otters-T-Shirt Giveaway Courtesy of Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Fox 18
T-shirts will be given away to the first 3,000 fans courtesy of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Fox 18. Toys for Tots continues along with a teddy bear toss. During the intermission, two lucky fans will have a chance to play Jumer's Casino Rock Island Black Jack for cash prizes. Fans who bring a toy for Toys for Tots or a stuffed bear to toss on the ice after the Mallards first goal receive a voucher for a buy one ticket get one ticket free to the Mallards home games on December 26th or 29th.

The Mallards and Fury last met in a grueling seven-game series during last spring's playoffs. The Fury slid past a gritty group of Mallards on their way to a second consecutive Colonial Cup.

A holiday tradition in Fort Wayne continues with a match-up vs. the Mallards. The annual Thanksgiving Game in Fort Wayne begins with the Mallards Pre-Game Show on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230 at 6:05 p.m.
Saturday, November 26th at 7:00 p.m. vs. the Missouri River Otters at The MARK of the Quad Cities
The Mallards and River Otters meet at The MARK for the second time in eight days on Friday. In their last meeting, the teams combined for 156 penalty minutes in a 5-2 Mallards win.
Sunday, November 27th at 1:05 p.m. vs. the Rockford IceHogs at The Metrocentre in Rockford
The Mallards and Hogs tangle for the third time this year on Sunday at The Metrocentre. The Hogs are 2-0-0 vs. the Mallards with wins in back-to-back games in late October.

Friday, November 18th-Missouri 2 at Mallards 5
The Quad City Mallards improved to 8-3-2 on the season and remained unbeaten in their last eight contests (6-0-2) following a 5-2 win over the Missouri River Otters Friday night at The MARK. The Mallards came out strong in the opening period, scoring three goals in a span of 10:39. Evgeny Lazarev gave Quad City a 1-0 lead with his fifth goal of the season 2:51 into the contest. Tom Galvin received the lone assist on Lazarev's goal. The Mallards took a two-goal lead when Glenn Detulleo lit the lamp for his second of the year. 2:18 later, rookie Matt Radoslovich tallied his fourth of the year to stake the Mallards to a 3-0 lead. The teams exchanged goals in a second period that featured 132 penalty minutes. Radoslovich increased the Mallards lead to four with his second of the night at the 17:36 mark. The River Otters got on the board 1:44 later with a shorthanded marker by Damian Surma. In the third, Patrick Nadeau scored his third goal of the season to re-take a four-goal lead. Missouri's Tyler Butler countered with a power-play goal to cap the scoring at 5-2.
Saturday, November 19th-Mallards 2 at Motor City 4
The Motor City Mechanics snapped the Mallards eight-game unbeaten streak with a 4-2 win on Saturday in Fraser, Michigan. With the loss, the Mallards fell to 8-4-2 on the season. A strong effort by Mallards netminder Jason Tapp kept the game deadlocked through the game's first 40 minutes. In the second period alone, Tapp stopped all 22 shots he faced to keep the game scoreless. The Mechanics dented the scoreboard early in the final period as Henry Acres scored to break the tie. Evgeny Lazarev countered less than a minute later to even the score at one apiece. Five minutes later, Motor City's Adam Edinger scored to retake the lead for the Mechanics. Patrick Nadeau scored at 10:50 of the third to retie the game. The Mechanics took control of the game when former Mallard Mike Burgoyne scored the game- winner on the power play. Motor City's Brent Gretzky added an empty net goal with 30 seconds left to secure the win, 4-2.
Sunday, November 20th-Mallards 3 at Kalamazoo 5
The Mallards dropped a 5-3 decision in Kalamazoo on Sunday to fall to 8-5-2 on the season. With the win, the Wings improved to 7-0-0 at home. Seroski opened the scoring with the game's only even-strength goal at 4:21 of the opening frame. The Mallards evened the score on a Tom Galvin power-play goal at 12:50 of the first. Kalamazoo took control of the game with two power-play goals in the final two minutes of the first. Kory Karlander and Seroski scored to give the Wings a 3-1 lead after one. Mike Manley scored a shorthanded goal 4:24 into the second period to extend the Wings lead to 4-1. The Mallards battled back on a pair of power-play goals to cut the Wing lead to one. Samy Nasreddine scored his first goal as a Mallard during a 5-on-3 power play followed by Glenn Detulleo's second goal in the last three games. Seroski completed his hat trick with the only goal of the third period to cap the scoring at 5-3.
Player of the Week
Evgeny Lazarev is the Mallards nominee for the UHL Player of the Week. He recorded a goal and two assists in the Mallards win over Missouri on Friday. On Saturday, he scored his sixth goal of the year in the Mallard's loss to Motor City.
Goalie of the Week
Jason Tapp is the Mallards nominee for UHL Goaltender of the Week. Tapp went 1-1-0. On Friday, he made 32 saves in the Mallards 5-2 win over Missouri. The next night in Motor City, Tapp made a Mallards season-high 42 saves in a 4-2 loss.
