Adam Vay made 23 saves in Sunday's shootout loss to Cincinnati before being reassigned to the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild Monday. C.J. Motte has won three straight games and has given up just four goals during that winning streak. He now ranks fifth in the ECHL in save percentage (.939) and sixth in goals against average (1.85).
Power Play
The Mallards Sunday scored two power play goals in a game (on six opportunities) for the second time this season and now rank eighth in the ECHL on the man advantage (22.2 percent).
