Sioux Falls Canaries News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD (June 24, 2008) - The Birdcage will play host to a major concert when the KTWB Birthday Bash brings country music stars Mark Chesnutt, Confederate Railroad, and Restless Heart Sioux Falls Stadium on July 3.
Concertgoers will enjoy a down-home country musical extravaganza with hot dogs and cold beer on a baseball field, under the South Dakota stars, followed by a magnificent fireworks finale sure to make anyone proud to be an American! To honor those who serve in the nation's armed services and risk their lives for our freedom, a discount will be given with military identification.
The headliner artist, Mark Chesnutt, who was once called "the real deal" by country music legend George Jones, is sure to impress. For one low price, country music lovers will experience not one, not two, but three national acts who produced hit after hit, and are still doing so today. Chesnutt's latest album, "Rollin' With the Flow", will be released just days before his appearance at the Sioux Falls Canaries Ballpark. It includes the hits "When You Love Her Like Crazy" and the popular "Rollin' With the Flow." He also achieved success with hit after hit during the nineties, with catchy songs like "Bubba Shot the Jukebox", "It's a Little Too Late", and "Goin' Through the Big D", and of course the unforgettable romantic classic "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" among several others.
Also performing at the KTWB Birthday Bash will be Confederate Railroad, with songs such as "Queen of Memphis", "Trashy Women", and "Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind". Starting the night off will be Restless Heart, entertaining the audience with songs such as "The Bluest Eyes in Texas" and "I'll Still Be Loving You". The Birthday Bash offers concertgoers a perfect way to kick back, celebrate Independence Day a day early and to show their pride towards the red, white and blue.
The best part is, no travel is required. Restaurant Card owner Bill Sedelmeier feels that "with the economy in the state it's in, it would be beneficial for Sioux Falls and surrounding area local citizens to stay here rather than leave Sioux Falls for the holiday." Bill added, "This would be a great chance to save some money and come out with the family to enjoy the party of the summer!"
Tickets for the KTWB Birthday Bash featuring Mark Chesnutt, Confederate Railroad, and Restless Heart, are $25 for grandstand general admission and $30 for infield access. Additional box office or online ordering fees may apply. Tickets can be purchased online at www.restaurantcardsiouxfalls.com, by phone at (605) 333-0179, or in person at the Sioux Falls Stadium box office.
