
Magic Defeat Raptors on the Road

The Lakeland Magic defeated the 905 Raptors on the road in Mississauga, 124-102 on Thursday afternoon.
Zavier Simpson led the Magic with a double-double collecting 24 points and 11 assists, while Nuni Omot tallied 20 points and six rebounds. Aleem Ford also added 15 points off the bench. Jeff Dowtin Jr. had a team-high 21 points and eight assists for the Raptors. Darryl Morsell had 21 points off the bench.
The Magic took the lead in the second quarter outscoring the Raptors 36-22. The Magic bench scored 22 points in the quarter, helping Lakeland take the lead for the remainder of the game. The Magic bench outscored the Raptors 63-39
"We went out there and played confidently, we are missing a lot of starting players right now. We have faced ups and downs lately, but my goal is always the same, I'm here to make sure we are in the best position to win whether I score zero points or I'm the leading scorer," Simpson said.
The next game for Lakeland (15-13), NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will be on Saturday, March 18 vs. the 905 Raptors in Mississauga at 2:00 PM on NBAGLeague.com.
