HENDERSON, Nev. - NBA G League Ignite (11-18) fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (17-12), 132-114, on Thursday night at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.
Leonard Miller led Ignite with an impressive 29 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four blocks on 12-of-20 shots from the field. Sidy Cissoko finished with 17 points, six assists, three rebounds and two blocks, while John Jenkins added 15 points and six assists. Babacar Sane notched his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Mychal Mulder paced the Skyforce after leading all scorers with 40 points on 12-of-21 shots from the field, including 9-of-16 from the three-point line. Orlando Robinson followed with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Justin Champagnie tallied 23 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jamaree Bouyea recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 assists.
Both teams continued to play each other tightly on the second night of back-to-back games, with the score tied up 62-62 at the halfway mark. The Skyforce finished the opening period with an 11-point lead behind Mychal Mulder, who went perfect from the field to score 14 of his 40 points in that span. After trailing by as much as 15 points in the first quarter, Ignite flipped the switch in the second to outscore the Skyforce 36-25 in the period. Leonard Miller led the charge after scoring 11 of his 29 points in the frame. The first half saw eight lead changes and four ties.
The Skyforce used a big third quarter to pull away from Ignite en route to taking an 18-point lead in the frame. Mychal Mulder and Jamaree Bouyea pitched in 13 and 11 points, respectively. The Skyforce tallied 41 points while limiting Ignite to only 23 points in the frame. The Skyforce extended its lead by 24 points in the fourth quarter as it would coast to victory. Despite Ignite having the advantage in points in the paint (66-42), the Skyforce forced 24 turnovers, which resulted in 35 points.
