FORT MYERS, Fla. - In the second game of the final four game series of the 2018 season between the Bradenton Marauders and the Fort Myers Miracle, Fort Myers moved within a half a game of the division lead by walking off in the bottom of the tenth inning on a single by Travis Blankenhorn to take a 2-1 decision on Tuesday night.

In a pitcher's duel from the start, RHP Pedro Vasquez was outworked by Miracle starter RHP Andro Cutura, with both pitchers giving up five hits over six innings, but it was the lone run given up by Vasquez that pushed Cutura's start to an extra level. Travis Blankenhorn factored in to both scoring plays for the home side, first by doubling and later scoring in the third inning on a sacrifice fly. Blankenhorn came up clutch in the first extra inning as well, blasting a ball to deep center field that plated Ryan Costello as the game winning run in a walk-off effort.

Bradenton's only tally came in the top half of the ninth inning down to their final out. After Casey Hughston and Brett Pope both reached on infield singles it was Bligh Madris who drove in the Marauders only run of the evening on a line drive shot up the middle to drive in Hughston from second base before Bradenton was set down in order in their half of the tenth inning, setting up the Blankenhorn walk-off single. The loss sets the Marauders to 7-3 in extra inning contests and moves their ledger in one-run games to 19-21 on the 2018 season.

The Marauders continue their final series of the year against the Fort Myers Miracle on Wednesday night at 7, with RHP Gavin Wallace tossing for Bradenton, opposed by RHP Clark Beeker for the home side.
