Lynx Make Move, Deal Pietersma, Donnelly For Futures

March 2, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx have made a deal to send defenseman John Donnelly and forward Stuart Pietersma to Bakersfield for future considerations.

Donnelly, 24, and Pietersma, 22, were both mid-season acquisitions for the Lynx. Donnelly had played just 12 games with the team, collecting no points or PIMs and a -2 rating. Pietersma, meanwhile, saw action in seven contests with the Lynx, with no points and a -1 rating to go with 12 PIMs.

"We'll have our futures later this week," said Lynx Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Stan Drulia. "It's possible that whoever we pick up will join us during our road trip this week."

The Lynx will battle the Florida Everblades on Tuesday night, followed by an important divisional match with the Pensacola Ice Pilots Thursday. Augusta will finish their week on the road when they take on the Columbus Cottonmouths Saturday in yet another important "four point" game for the club. All games can be heard this week on your home for Lynx Hockey, EAGLE 102!
