All the Indianapolis scoring was in the top of the first and all the Lynx scoring happened in the bottom of the ninth. When the dust settled, the Lynx took home the win, defeating Indianapolis 2-1.

The win takes the Lynx record to 9-7 (6-1 at home) and drops the Indians to 11-8.

Players Of The Game: C Jason Jaramillo had two hits, drove in the Lynx first run and scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Jim Rushford also had two hits and drove Jaramillo home with two down in the bottom of the 9th.

Game Recap: In this, the first National League-rules game at Lynx Stadium since August 23, 2002, Lynx fans were treated to an NL-style pitchers duel. Indianapolis scored an unearned run before Rick Bauer, John Ennis, Joe Bisenius and Yoel Hernandez combined to shut them down for the last 8.0 innings. Indians starter John Van Benschoten was even better over his 7.1 innings of shutout three-hit ball. But the Lynx had something left in the tank for the 9th inning. Chris Roberson led the inning off with a walk and was sacrificed over to second base by Joe Thurston. Jason Jaramillo drove Roberson home with an RBI single, setting the stage for Jim Rushford's clutch RBI single into left field. The win improves the Lynx record to 6-1 at home and 9-7 overall.

Next Game: The Lynx and Indians face-off for the second game of their four-game series tomorrow afternoon at Lynx Stadium. Game time is 1:05 pm..
