ESTERO, FL - Ross Carlson scored three goals for the hat trick as the Florida Everblades defeated the Lynx (5-5-2) by a score of 5-2 at Germain Arena on Saturday night.

Carlson scored twice in the opening period for Florida as the Everblades out shot the Lynx 20-3 and took a 2-0 lead into the second period.

The Lynx got on the board for the first time in three games as Chris Lawrence lit the lamp for his first ECHL goal, cutting the Florida lead to 2-1. However, the Everblades answered as defenseman Aaron Brocklehurst rifled a shot on the power play from the top of the right circle to put Florida back up by two goals, 3-1.

Again, Augusta made it a one goal game as Captain Tim Branham fired a shot from inside the blue line to make it a 3-2, but Ross Carlson scored for the third time as he tucked the puck past Mike Brodeur to make it 4-2. Ernie Hartlieb added an empty net goal for Florida to seal the win.

The Everblades out shot the Lynx 48-29. The Lynx finished 0 for 7 on the power play while Florida went 1 for 3.

The Lynx now return home for three games in three days beginning on Friday at James Brown Arena against the Everblades.

The next home game for the Lynx is on Friday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Florida Everblades. Season tickets, group tickets, and birthday packages are all available by calling the Lynx at 706-724-4423 or by logging onto www.augustalynx.com.
