After Jeremy Flanagan pitched a complete game victory Wednesday night the Oaks took two of the first three from Bakersfield. The Oaks looking to take three of four from the Blaze on Thursday after the two teams played three tight ball games, each more exciting then the next. Visalia finished August at 16-13 their best month of the season. The Oaks start their final month and hope to pick up where they left off in August by sending out right-hander Kevin Lynn vs. righty Cody Smith.

The Blaze who are 36-28 when scoring first scored in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by Josh Kreuzer and Bakersfield lead 1-0. In the top of the fifth the Oaks would take their first lead of the game scoring two. One on a Francisco Leandro sac fly, and one on a Carlos Ramos triple and Visalia lead 2-1. Visalia took a 3-1 lead when John Paul Davis looked like he was going to hit into an inning ending double play but an errant throw by second baseman Abigail Sandoval that allowed Kris Dufner to score and the Oaks lead by two. Dave Coggin came on and struck out the side in the ninth to seal the victory as the Oaks take three of four from the Blaze and win by the final of 4-3.

Visalia heads home for their final series of the year for four games against the Modesto Nuts. The Oaks send out right-hander T.A. Fulmer vs. hard throwing righty Juan Morillo for the Nuts.
