Lumberkings take 3 of 4 from Swing

August 6, 2005 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Clinton LumberKings News Release

Clinton starter Eric Hurley (11-4; 3.60) dominated, blanking the Swing on one hit and four walks while setting five down on strikes in seven innings of work while center fielder Brandon Cashman (.235 / .318 / .407) delivered all of the offense the L-Kings would need in this pitcher's dual.

The lone hit Hurley surrendered was a weak infield popup which should have been caught as Hurley and his corner infielders all backed off of the dink in front of the mound, thinking that one of the others would grab it.

Cashman homered and doubled in four trips to drive in two runs while adding his 19th stolen base of the year and scoring twice. Ben Harrison (.250 / .323 / .367) and Jim Fasano (.280 / .345 / .413) each went 1-4 with a double and Brandon Boggs went 0-4, but reached on a fielder's choice, drove in a run and stole a base.
