Beloit Sky Carp News Release

Three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning helped the LumberKings roll past the Snappers Tuesday night, 4-2. Beloit's Daniel Berlind picked up the loss for the Snappers, going six innings allowing four runs off six hits.

Clinton scored one quick run in the bottom of the first inning and then three more in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead after four innings. That would prove to be enough for the Texas Rangers low A affiliate.

The Snaps battled back in the top of the fifth with a run on a Ramon Santana RBI-triple, and a run in the sixth on a Jair Fernandez RBI-single. The two runs drew Beloit to within two runs, 4-2.

That would be all that they could muster, however, as they went on to lose by the final of 4-2.

Charles Nolte was impressive for the Snappers pitching two innings of scoreless relief. Five of the six outs Charles recorded came of the strikeout variety.

Beloit dropped to 23-21 on the year while Clinton improved to 30-11.
