
LumberKings Return Home for 6 in Action Packed Home Stand

CLINTON, IA - The LumberKings return to Clinton starting - Friday, June 2 - for a 6-game home stand that is packed with awesome promotions and giveaways! The fun starts on night one of the home stand with the first postgame fireworks of the season and continues with two giveaway days and a postgame concert on Saturday June 3. The Peoria Chiefs, Class affiliate with the St. Louis Cardinals, make their first trip to Clinton this season for three games (June 2-4) and the Cedar Rapids Kernels make their first trip to Clinton for three games (June 6-8), tickets are available by calling (563) 243-0727 or by going online to www.lumberkings.com.

The Clinton LumberKings welcome in the Peoria Chiefs, Class-A affiliate if the St. Louis Cardinals, for the first time this season, opening a three-game series. The night features the first of four postgame fireworks shows. Stay after the game to see the first WQAD-TV fireworks spectacular of the season!

Come early and stay late for the second game of a three-game set with the Chiefs. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a 2017 Clinton LumberKings team photo courtesy of Thrivent Financial and Mediacom. Following the game, "Back Country Roads" take the stage for a postgame concert as the first concert of the "Stay Late Saturday" concert series. Campers from the LumberKings baseball clinic - sponsored by Gateway State Bank - will receive a ticket to Saturday's game with their enrollment in the baseball clinic.

The LumberKings wrap up their series with the Peoria Chiefs with a Sunday matinee. Make sure to arrive early of the second for the second giveaway of the homestand. The first 500 fans through the games with receive the third installment of the baseball card strip giveaway courtesy of Clinton National Bank and Mediacom.

Following a league wide off day on Monday the LumberKings resume their home stand with the first of three games against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The series opener features "Sweet and Salty Day" at the ballpark, where fans can enjoy 50 cent popcorn and cotton candy all game long.

In the second game of the three game series with the Kernels fans can take part in "Wing Wednesday." Come early and stay late for 50 cent wings all game long.

The home stand draws to a close with "Thirsty Thursday" and "Throwback Thursday." The LumberKings will pay tribute to the history of professional baseball in Clinton by taking the field wearing jerseys from one of their prior affiliations. For fans looking to start the weekend early, arrive early to take advantage of $1 draft Millers Lite and Coors Light as part of "Thirsty Thursday." All $1 beer special will run from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m.
