
LumberKings Open Six-Game Homestand Saturday

Clinton, IA - The LumberKings begin a six-game, seven-day homestand filled with promotions on Saturday when the Peoria Chiefs come to town. Clinton is in a heated battle with Peoria for the final playoff spot in the Western Division Playoffs that are set to begin in early September.
Saturday is Skyline Center Night as their 50th Anniversary is celebrated. It's also a stay-late Saturday with the Slough Buoys playing a post-game concert in the Dr. Pepper Picnic Garden. First pitch on Saturday is 6:00 CT.
Sunday is Jackson County and Suicide Awareness Day. Tickets can be picked up at participating Jackson County businesses. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00.
The three-game series wraps against Peoria with a 7:00 start Monday night.
On Tuesday the LumberKings and Ashford University Field will host the Iowa vs. Illinois Senior All-Star Classic. The game will feature recent graduates from high schools in the MAC (Iowa) against the Big Western Six (Illinois). Both rosters are littered with players who will play collegiately at the Division 1, Junior College and NAIA levels. The doubleheader begins at 5:00.
Clinton begins a three-game series against the Quad Cities River Bandits on Wednesday. The River Bandits currently own one of two spots available for the Playoffs.
Wednesday is the seventh and final McDonald's & Mediacom Baseball Card Strip giveaway of the year. Thursday's game against Quad Cities is Lyons Business Professional Association Night. The homestand concludes Friday with Thrivent Financial Night & KWQC-TV Baseball Giveaway. It's also Special Olympics Night and the Boy Scout Sleepover. All games against Quad Cities start at 7:00.
