Lukajic named to Northern Conference All-Star squad

[TOPEKA, KS.] - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that forward Mike Lukajic has been named to the Northern Conference All-Star team. Lukajic, a non-starter, was selected by Chris Stewart (Colorado), the Northern Conference All-Star coach, in conjunction with the CHLs hockey operations department. Each roster consists of nine forwards, six defenseman, and three goaltenders.
The rookie forward currently leads the Tarantulas with 16 goals, and 12 assists for 28 points in 29 games played. Lukajic is plus six with eight penalty minutes. He is currently 21st in CHL scoring and is tied for first with Phil Aucoin of Memphis in CHL rookie scoring.
The 64 225 pound right wing from Mississauga, Ontario played collegiate hockey at the State University of New York- College at Oswego (SUNY-Oswego). In four seasons, he tallied 144 points and 38 penalty minutes in 120 games played.
The Laredo Bucks will host the 2005 All-Star Game and events from Monday, January 10th-Wednesday, January 12th. The All-Star Banquet will take place on Monday, January 10th at 6 pm, the All-Star Skills Competition will take place on Tuesday, January 11th at 7:30 pm, and the All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, January 12th at 7:30 pm.
