WINSTON-SALEM, NC (May 22, 2012) - The Winston-Salem Dash partnered with Lowe's and the Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County to help build five houses in the Winston-Salem area last Saturday, and more than 60 volunteers contributed.

People of all ages came out to the Sedgefield Garden area of Winston-Salem, including Dash fans, Lowe's employees, Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County volunteers, and Dash front office staff members.

Nine Dash players-Spencer Arroyo, Chris Bassitt, Dan Black, Ryan Buch, Carlos Sanchez, Brady Shoemaker, Juan Silverio, Taylor Thompson and Daniel Wagner-came out to show their support, and even Bolt chipped in throughout the morning and afternoon.

The five homes were in various stages of completion, so the work involved with the build included laying flooring, installing countertops, landscaping and attaching siding. The group of volunteers arrived shortly before 8 a.m. and continued working until 2 p.m.

Footage from this year's Lowe's Community Build will be shown at BB&T Ballpark during the Dash's game Friday, July 20, against the Frederick Keys. More than 80 Lowe's employees and many more volunteers and homeowners associated with the Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County will be on hand that night.

The Dash kick off a week-long homestand Monday with a 4 p.m. doubleheader against the Frederick Keys. To secure your tickets to the upcoming homestand or to purchase All-Star tickets, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287.

The Winston-Salem Dash are the Class-A Advanced minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. To purchase tickets and for more information, please call 336-714-2287 or visit www.wsdash.com .
