SATURDAY NIGHT ACTUALLY WASN'T ALRIGHT: The Bats and Knights will resume play on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. after sitting through a total of 3 hours and 53 minutes of rain delays, including 3 hours and 6 minutes before a pitch was even thrown. The game will be picked up in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-2 score, and a second game scheduled for 7 innings is set to occur after the conclusion of game one.

DÉJÀ VU AGAINST CHARLOTTE: The Bats' last suspended game that was resumed the following day took place less than a month ago, also against the Charlotte Knights, on May 11-12. The similarities don't stop there, however, as the clubs had play suspended on a Saturday night and resumed Sunday afternoon, with a Louisville off day the following Monday. In those games, LOU lost 7-6 in the resumed game, before winning 5-4 in 10 innings in the second game. Lucas Sims pitched in the second game on May 12, while he pitched in the "first game" this go-around.

- This marks the first time Louisville's had a game suspended on the road since May 16, 2018 at Durham, finishing the game on May 17 and playing a second, 7-inning game that day, just like this go-around.

ART VAN-DELAY: Louisville and Charlotte's delay time of 3 hours and 53 minutes on Saturday now holds the distinction of the second-longest in Louisville franchise history, ranking behind only June 27, 2000, when the RiverBats and PawSox endured 4 hours and 20 minutes of delay time.

GAME TWO: "Game two" starting pitchers, Louisville right-hander Brad Markey and Charlotte right-hander Dylan Cease, were both 2014 draftees of the Chicago Cubs. Markey will be making his second start since being signed by the Reds on June 3, becoming the first Bat to toss a quality start in his team debut since Tyler Mahle in 2017. Although there are 2 scheduled games on Sunday, today is not considered to be a doubleheader.

TRANSACTIONS: Prior to Saturday night's game, the Bats added IF Alberti Chavez and transferred OF Narciso Crook to Class AA Chattanooga, just one day after doing the opposite. Crook went 1-for-4 with a double in his return to the Louisville lineup on Thursday night, while Chavez, who made 2 pitching apps in his first stint at Triple-A, has batted .300 (3-for-10) in 3 starts for the Bats going into last night.

TRYING TO REVERSE THE CURSE?: Before falling behind 1-0 in last night's ballgame, the Bats had scored first in 4 consecutive games. LOU is just 1-3 in their last 4 games despite being the first team to score in each of the games, and just 16-15 when scoring first this season. In over half (19) of LOU's 37 losses this season, they led at one point in the game.

300 RUNS: The Bats have 297 runs on the season after the first 4 innings of their Saturday night game. Last season, Louisville scored its 300th run as a team on June 27 at Columbus in an 11-10 win at Huntington Park. The 300th run of the season came in the form of a Dilson Herrera solo home run in the sixth inning.
