Today's Game

This evening the Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the second game of the three-game series. Buffalo looks to even the season series with a win tonight. Following Sunday's matchup, the Herd has an off-day before heading west to face the Indianapolis Indians and Louisville Bats starting on Tuesday.

Yesterday's Game: BUF 3, LHV 1

Buffalo pitching was once again the focal point in the in the victory. Sean Reid-Foley picked up his second straight after holding the IronPigs to just a walk through the first three innings. The fourth inning was the difference maker for Buffalo, as Reese McGuire doubled home Richard Urena before scoring on an Andy Burns home run.

Lehigh Valley (5-6)

Buffalo and the IronPigs are meeting for the fourth time this year, this is the second time the Bisons are hosting. They split the last series in Lehigh Valley near the end of May. Each team will host a series against each other at their respective fields once more this season. The Herd has already eclipsed last year's win total against their IL North foes with a win in the series opener on Friday.

Today's Starter

Andrew Sopko makes his sixth start of the season tonight. The right hander looks to rebound after giving up eight runs on nine hits in Game 2 of the doubleheader against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

Andy Burns

After going 0-3 in three straight games, Andy Burns broke that slump in a big way. The infielder crushed a two-run home run to cap the three-run fourth inning that helped lead Buffalo to their second consecutive win. The home run was also Burns' first since May 2 when he hit a solo shot at home against the PawSox.

Sean Reid-Foley

Sean Reid-Foley continued his strong pitching on Friday night. Reid-Foley, who has now yielded just two hits in three of his last five starts, also finished his outing without giving up a run - the first time he's done it all season. After picking up two losses in his first eight appearances, the righty has now gone 3-1 in his last four outings.

On Friday OF Jonathan Davis was activated to the Herd's roster, while RHP David Phelps was added on an MLB rehab assignment. RHP Graham Spraker was transferred to Dunedin (A-Adv) in a corresponding move.
