Chris Carter hit his fifth homer for Rochester in the second inning to cut into the lead, but Scranton would score the next five which included homers from Billy McKinney and Ryan McBroom.
Gonsalves (4-3) suffered the loss allowing nine runs on nine hits and five walks over four innings.
LaMonte Wade collected his first two Triple-A RBI with a two-run single in the fifth inning. Wade and Carter each collected two hits for the Red Wings.
Rochester (28-31) looks to right the ship on Tuesday night in Scranton with a doubleheader scheduled in the Electric City. Aaron Slegers (5-3, 3.43) and Gabriel Moya (0-0, 2.11) are the expected Wings starters.
WINGS THINGS: The Wings entered play Monday with the best road record in the league at 18-9...Twins star Joe Mauer is expected to play at least one of the twin bill games for the Wings on Tuesday.
