Hens Notes

Six-game homestand closes with a bang: After dropping three straight games, the Hens used home runs from Ronny Rodriguez and Grayson Greiner to erase an early 2-0 deficit for an 8-3 win. The Hens went 3-3 on the six game homestand that also featured a huge comeback on Tuesday. Toledo trailed Buffalo 6-0 in the second inning but tied the game and then won it when Jim Adduci slammed a game-winning double in the tenth for an 8-7 win.

Leading the Way: Toledo has three of the top hitters in the International League. Ronny Rodriguez is currently fourth with a .313 batting average while Jim Adduci (.302) ranks 8th and Chad Huffman's .301 has him checking in at 11th in the league. Christin Stewart leads the league with 13 home runs and is second in the IL with 37 RBI. Stewart also has the league most total bases at 115, while Rodriguez is second at 114.

Hits, Hits and more Hits: In Sunday's win, the Mud Hens reached double digits in hits (10) for the 27th time this season. Toledo is currently second among all IL teams in team batting average at .266.

In and out we go: The Hens hit the road to start a seven game week with a four game set in Indianapolis against the second place Indians. The two rivals will play each other seven times inside 16 days with a three-game set coming in Toledo June 25-27. Toledo is 3-3 against Indianapolis this season. Toledo is back at Fifth Third Field hosting the Louisville Bats Friday through Sunday. The Hens are 4-2 vs. Louisville this season.

Postgame Fireworks: Stick around after each game this weekend for the incredible Mud Hens fireworks show.

Used Baseball Glove Drive: The Hens are partnering with Uplyft Toledo to collect used baseball gloves and mitts during the three-day homestand. Collection bins will be located near the home plate entrance on the main concourse.

Friday, June 15

The Mud Hens cordially invite all princesses to attend Princess Palooza. Fairy tale characters will be taking FREE photos on the concourse throughout the game. Come dressed in your prince or princess costume for the Royal Parade on the field before postgame fireworks.

It's a Motown Tribute in Hensville Park, featuring Motor City Soul on the Owens Corning Stage. The free concert is part Hensville Live! presented by NSG and runs from 9:30 p.m. until Midnight.

Saturday, June 16

Muddy Mini This scenic half and quarter marathon starts in uptown Maumee and winds its way through Sidecut Metropark before finishing up on Fifth Third Field. #RUNTHE419 Start time: 7:30 a.m.

Give it up for the 419 on You Will Do Better in Toledo Night. The team celebrates the Glass City by wearing specialty "419" jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit United Way and the Helping Hens charitable fund. Presented by: NSG and BCAN

Continue 419 Night at Hensville Park with Not Fast Enuff, a high energy party band from Toledo, part of Hensville Live! free postgame concert series presented by NSG.

Sunday, June 17

Celebrate Dad's Day with the Hens at the Father's Day Bash. A ticket includes the game and all-you-can-eat buffet.- presented by Dick's Sporting Goods.

Father's Day is also Team Autograph Day so come early to get a picture with your first place Mud Hens players.

Have fun with the kids at the Inflatable Theme Park in Hensville Park before and during the game, and then after the game, Dad can join the kids (12 and under) on the field to run the bases!
