Lookouts Fall Short in 6-4 Loss

The Mobile BayBears scored four runs in the top of the ninth innings to hand the Lookouts the 6-4 loss. Chattanooga now holds a one game lead over the Jackson Generals in the North Division. 

Mobile had the early command of the game, taking a two run lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Lookouts bats awoke in the bottom of the seventh with four runs, capped off by a Brent Rooker two-run single. 

Up by two entering the ninth inning, Chattanooga brought in closer Williams Ramirez to try and clinch the victory. The BayBears had other ideas, however as they quickly tied up the game at four runs apiece. They then took the 6-4 lead with two outs on a two run homer by Jarred Walsh. 

In the loss Lookouts starting pitcher Kohl Stewart pitched well, only allowing one earned run in six innings. Reliever Tyler Jay lowered his season ERA to 1.59. 

Tomorrow, is game three of the team's five game series against Mobile. Game time is set for 7:15 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.
