Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The middle of the Lookouts' batting order, Alex Castellanos, Scott Van Slyke, and Hector Gimenez, carried the load for Chattanooga with seven hits, including two homers, in an 8-3 win over the Montgomery Biscuits in Thursday night action at AT&T Field.
The Lookouts came swinging right out of the gate, as Alex Castellanos hit a two-run homer in the first inning to give the Lookouts the early lead.
Montgomery halved the Lookouts' lead in the second on an RBI double by Isaias Velasquez, but the Lookouts countered with two more runs in the fourth inning to put the score at 4-1.
Henry Wrigley gave the Biscuits two more runs in the fifth frame with a two-run blast over the right field wall.
With the Biscuits breathing down their neck, the Lookouts opened up the game with four runs in the sixth inning. Hector Gimenez highlighted the big rally by hitting a towering shot off of Jim Paduch (4-6) over the Budweiser Pavilion in right field.
The Lookouts' bullpen took care of business for the remainder of the game to preserve the 8-3 win.
Stephen Fife (3-0) picked up the win for the Lookouts. In five innings of work, he yielded three runs, six hits, and four walks, while striking out one.
The Chattanooga Lookouts and Montgomery Biscuits will continue their five-game series at 7:15 P.M., tomorrow. Tickets for this game or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
